IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE FAIR TODAY…

This year we are taking a moment to honour those members of the Committee past and present who have made the fair possible over the past 713 years. As you know this village lost a great man in the past year and without Jerzy we wouldn't be celebrating our 713th year this year.

So we have a teddy bear trail through the shops and public buildings of the village. Each venue taking part will have a teddy bear with a name on it. All you have to do is collect an entry form from either Charlotte Grace, the library or download using the link below. Then follow the trail, find the bears, write the names and return the forms to Charlotte Grace or the library by 5pm on the 2nd July. The winner will be announced on fair day.

First prize is a full day Summer Holiday Workshop voucher kindly donated by Cygnet Art School Mid Sussex

This is a free event but donations are always welcome.

We will be raffling off most of the teddy bears on the 4th July so if you see one you would like to give a new home too please come and see us at the committee tent. All proceeds will go back into next years fair.

Thanks to all our High Street traders who have displayed the teddy bears in their windows.

    CANCELLED

In consultation with Heath Vets, due to the forecasted high temperature on Sunday we have made the difficult decision to cancel this years dog show under welfare grounds.

  • 28th June - 4th July

Our much loved traders competition is back where the traders of the village show off their creative skills and decorate their windows in the run up to fair weekend. This is a hotley contested event and we love to see the inspired entries so bring on the festival themed windows.

Our new Chair, Lona, will be judging on the Saturday morning and the winner will be announced later in the arena.

  • 3rd July
    6:00 - 10:30

Come and enjoy an evening’s entertainment on South Avenue Rec with live music by Martha Hitt & her band starting at 7.45pm.

Refreshments available from Hurst’BAR’point, Village Pizza Kitchen and Hurst’BBQ’point.

Martha Hitt is a formidable force in the UK alternative scene, blending the polished songwriting of a BRIT School alumni with the raw, distorted energy of modern rock. Moving beyond her musical theatre roots, Martha has carved out a sonic identity defined by heavy riffs, cinematic atmosphere, and timeless classics. She doesn’t just play a set; she commands the stage with a multidisciplinary flair that makes her and her band not one not to miss!

We kindly ask you to vacate the rec swiftly at the end of the evening at 10.30 in order to comply with our licencing restrictions. Please don’t be offending if the committee ask you to finish your drinks and move on… the pubs will be open!
